That's quite pricey. I did about 7 windows of various sizes last year, and it came in to just below 20k if I remember correctly. This means probably about 35k for the same thing, taking the average window.

At 15k more, just buy one of those camping psus with one solar panel on.

It may be but for people living in flats or renting it could be the only option. They also might not have space to set panels out on the floor every day.

Could be ... but they also probably have that in their T's and C's that they can sell off any IP to whoever they want.

They have made it pretty broad, so anything you make, even outside of the university, they own.
Its complete BS but most students just sign their lives away when getting into university.

Yeah this is a terrible idea. There is a reason it has not been a common market place idea. Eff and cost would never make this a viable product.
