Not AFAIK, you just select the SA region in game and then click the find game button.

Any ideas when they aim to launch the server for public use (like any idea time wise)? as I understand it, its still only used as a test server for now. (currently downloading "dota 2 test" from steam to see if it is listed there, its not listed in the actual dota 2 game yet)

After playing dota for a few years on the local war3 server I’m not sure if I want to play with local 16 year old brats again. I’m not having any trouble with dota 2 on Europe servers so think I’ll stick to that.

Unfortunately this is the first thing that came to mind too... I find EU players far more civilized than local players in general.
