Yup it will however show up as ID’s are tracked(electronically and via paper trail which you fill out to vote in a different voting stations) and audited. So if a large % do this and impact significant it will/may open a dispute on election result.

The thing most people don’t know is this.. it is considered a criminal act ie you can be thrown in jail as a result even if only to show this as a loophole.

Saw the cape party ask the obvious question ie why not sync & check the voter presence in real-time but not every place has decent coverage. I guess this is where business would assist.. 2ndly I thought this is what the smart I’d could be used for? Anyways.. what’s the % smart vs old id in circulation? Also stolen id also becomes an interesting story. Hah if it has the EMV chip in it, it can easily only allow one voting session..

Just a bit of saliva and rubbing on my shirt cleaned both nail and skin of the pen mark. Seems there are inconsistencies with the pens used, even a permanent marker would have been more effective in my case.
 
Hah basically about what I mentioned.. basically the % needs to be skewed and statistically significant. If a party is seen as abusing this, it will be interesting but I doubt any party will b dumb enough to do it.
 
Apparently they'll reconcile the VEC forms and voters roll to identify and prosecute fraudsters.

Results from that station will be quarantined.

Nothing mentioned about how to identify who the fraudsters voted for in order to produce the correct result...

They can't tell how the fraudsters voted. The only logical step would be to invalidate results if a large number of fraud is discovered at a specific station, I think. They'll probably play a stats game and say the fraud is minimal and won't have a material effect on the outcome of the election - which will mainly be true.

Most people I saw had the old ID books and got a IEC2019 stamp in them. I had a smart ID so no stamp. I would have thought the scanning of the barcode (which both forms of ID have), would be the obvious registering point where once scanned, that specific ID cannot be used again on voting day at any station (centrally linked system?).

If this is not the case then there exists a big loophole where smart ID holders can go and vote more than once at other stations. If you really wanted to, getting past the ink on the finger is relatively easy by either washing off, sanding it off, covering with makeup etc because that seems to be the only indicator that you have voted, seeing as the crossing out of your name would only be effective at the station that you were registered at?
 
I noticed that too, I went to vote at 18:30 and my mark was barely legible, it was extremely faint and wiped off easily.

Also every other time I went to vote I got a stamp in my ID book, but not this time.

So technically they won’t need to (entire station is essentially tainted and not processed beyond count ie not added to tally).. but statistics are a wonderful thing for multiple votes as a group .. so analysis of that station and other tainted ones will show a trend if a significant group doing this.

One tactic that people haven’t realized is that u can take out a few opponent stations this way.. and likely a strategy to guard and prep for next elections.
 
On Twitter there's a hum of the election results being contested in court due to a LOT of irregularities.
 
Listening to the #IEC press briefing one thing is very clear, we need a different system - I have absolutely no confidence in the IEC to ensure a fair democratic election process.
