SA falling behind as Minister fiddles

I'm not arguing for voting - just more effectual in getting our message across to politicians in such a way that they see the potential benefit at the polls. They are suppose to present us and monitor government on our behalf. Besides, parliament is less likely to be influenced/bought by big business (Telkom) than DOC or ICASA, which have a significant stake in any decision being made.

Actually, I'm beginning to think Lyndall Shope-Mafole is the real power in the DoC... Ivy just doesn't strike me as... competent... enough.

The Broadcasting Act explicitly requires Icasa to conduct an inquiry into the economic feasibility of additional subscription TV services and to “conduct a licensing process immediately” upon a positive finding.

What the **** do they have to do with doing analysis for business? Open the ******* markets! Let the companies duke it out! The companies can do their own feasibility studies.

Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri got too many shares in telkom and can not sell all or she will cause a big uproar

how you can be upset with token personal working in gov. ?!? :p
ivy doesn't have a PhD in Communication Science or a Degree or anything so how could she possibly understand or relate to the problems in the communications industry. She doesn't even know how to work a computer, she is clueless! :D

and when it comes to ICASA half the department is in first and second year University at UNISA (the mailing list contains tons of @icasa and @gov email addresses). LOL

there are politicians with no qualifications :D making decisions about the country. :)

Get rid of old ivy, but have a look at other things and see what of them looks the same and you will know why this country is in the mess.
