Johannesburg - Two members of the South Africans acrobatic gymnastics team who are in Wroclaw, Poland, for the world championships, became victims of crime two days after the team's arrival.

An amount of R8 000 was stolen from gymnast JP Engelbrecht 's hotel room, but a short upper cut from coach Chris Botha left a would be mugger cold on a toilet floor in Poland's second biggest city.

"I asked someone in a shopping centre where the toilet as and he 'kindly' offered to show me the way.

"However, as we reached the toilet at the end of a long passage, the good Samaritan, or shall a say good Pole, suddenly hit me in the face and grabbed my money bag," Botha said.

Botha said it must have been his Boksburg instinct, but he hit the mugger with a short right to the chin and he dropped to the floor.

"As I was not sure whether there were some of his friend's around, I broke all Usain Bolt's sprint records to get out of here," Both said.

The top acro gymnastics event gets on the way with the Opening Ceremony Friday night and World Age Group championships on Saturday.

So did the cops there also blame them for leaving cash lying around in their hotel room?

Of course not. But, don't confuse yourself. Crime in South Africa is colossal. For every one incident in Europe there are about 10 in South Africa! For example some woman rape man too, however for every female rapist there are 100 males. Get my point?
