SA Internet demographics

It would have been more interesting to see the internet usage percentages next to the actual population percentages, eg. percentage of internet users in JHB vs. percentage of population in JHB.

Who the heck has a combined household income under R500 p/m and uses the internet?

Oh ja, kid's probably think pocket money counts as salary... Read "household" income, so that includes daddy dearests salary.

So, if we read the threads and announcements correctly and we take this survey into account, the SA government want to take pr0n away from White,35-44 Year old, Married rich people ?

It is a sad day !

Agreed. Very little information given about the criteria here, but that alone already makes the numbers a bit doubtful.

Also: Graphs > Tables.

If MXit from a phone is enough to qualify as internet usage, I'm quite surprised the numbers aren't higher for lower age groups that aren't married. That's probably a direct result of the group surveyed :p

Meh at stats. According to that, no one from outside, Slaapstad, Jozi and Durbs browses the Internet  I dont exist :(

Wow, I was thinking of this just the other day. I don't think these stats are accurate, but it does give an idea of the demographics in SA...nothing new here :/
