Who attended the "BDO seminar"? - must be a bunch of fools if they didn't boot this w@nker out after the first sentence.

And won't these skills we lure be the wrong colour and for this reason cannot get employment or advance their careers.
SA must poach global talent
Johannesburg - Scenario planner and economist Clem Sunter said during a BDO seminar on Tuesday evening that South Africa must now do the reverse of what Australia has been doing "to us" and pick off talent from elsewhere now that the world is in a hard times scenario, but South Africa offers opportunities. [yes, a bullet in the head]
"Up to now we had Australian talent scouts picking off talent - we can reverse that as there will be surplus engineers we can attract now as they're in a hard times scenario," he explained. [attract others while we haven't addressed the reason why our skills left in the first place?]
He notes that while the world average economic growth rate since 1980 has been 3.5% and "we have never had it so good", the world is in a much tougher state than has been for around 30 years.
He feels the US recession is starting to spread like a virus.
Yet South Africa will probably have a softer landing than many other countries due to resources, tourism and infrastructure benefits.
He also floats the possibility of Zimbabwe turning around and boosting opportunities for business in South Africa.
And won't these skills we lure be the wrong colour and for this reason cannot get employment or advance their careers.
