Getting into dangerous territory here. If you say anything against the State you're a traitor. Starting to sound more and more like the Apartheid regime with every passing day.

'Your actions makes Afrikaners feel excluded': AfriForum hits back at Ramaphosa over coward remarks
I thought Afrikaners were not a race but a language group? Have we changed that narrative to be exclusive to be whites only now ? What changed ?Just the fact he called Afrikaners cowards, shows he knows nothing. He is not a leader, and just shows again what the ANC think of white people.
You should ask Ramastupid. Apparently he knows everythingI thought Afrikaners were not a race but a language group? Have we changed that narrative to be exclusive to be whites only now ? What changed ?

Well we know what he means by that. It's the ANC afterall. Like he keeps saying "our" people and we know he means black people not white people.
What? Ramaphosa did no such thing, when do you people ever stop with your victimhood?Just the fact he called Afrikaners cowards, shows he knows nothing. He is not a leader, and just shows again what the ANC think of white people.
Yes, I know you are trying to help out a fellow brother but you are not really doing a really good job, where is the part where he called Afrikaners cowards? I mean he was sorrounded by a bunch of Afrikaners there.
When you people stop...What? Ramaphosa did no such thing, when do you people ever stop with your victimhood?
Years of sewer spillages, water shortages, poor sanitation, and alleged financial mismanagement and wasteful expenditure have culminated in the DA in Emfuleni Local Municipality turning to the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) to report service delivery failures in the municipality.
- The DA in Emfuleni has reported the municipality to the South African Human Rights Commission over poor sanitation, water issues, and financial mismanagement.
- Councillors say they have lost hope after exhausting all avenues, including 24 petitions and protests, to hold the municipality accountable.
- The party also highlighted that R636 million of the municipal infrastructure grant has been returned to the National Treasury.
Councillors in the beleaguered municipality turned to the SAHRC on Wednesday, saying they had exhausted all avenues and were out of options.
Councillor Duncan Mthembu, who is the DA caucus leader in Emfuleni, said showing up at the doors of the SAHRC was the only option left to them.
Mthembu said crucial issues in Emfuleni include sanitation and water.
“This is in light of our realising that the institution’s leadership continues not to prioritise our problems.
“So, we believe that we need a protector of our people’s dignity, and the human rights commission is the correct body for us to come to try to check what it is that we can do so that we can save the residents,” Mthembu said.
He said what was most concerning was that R636 million of the municipality’s infrastructure grant had been returned to the National Treasury due to underspending.
“That cannot be correct, especially now that we’ve got a lot of service delivery problems in that particular municipality. So, we are basically here to say that we need [the Human Rights Commission] as an entity and as an institution to come on board and actually fight with us to restore our people’s dignity,” Mthembu said.

Ward councillor Prudence Hlanyane accompanied Mthembu.
Hlanyane told the commission that ward councillors had already submitted 24 petitions each on issues in the municipality.
She said interacting with the municipality daily had become frustrating.
“I need to highlight that before we came here, we exhausted every avenue you can think of to hold the municipality accountable.
“We’ve had pickets, we’ve had protests. I have a total of 24 petitions that I sent to the municipality as a ward councillor, and none of which have been responded to,” Hlanyane said.
She said meetings with municipal officials had also been futile.
“We’ve done everything we can think of, but unfortunately, we are barking at a tree that does not respond to anything.
“So, the blatant disregard of our people also comes from the fact that the municipality does not have a plan,” Hlanyane said.
They were flanked by the DA constituency head for Emfuleni North and MPL Kingsol Chabalala, who lodged the complaint.

According to Chabalala’s complaint, the state of affairs in Emfuleni violates residents’ constitutional right to a safe and healthy environment, access to sufficient water, and basic sanitation as enshrined in sections 24, 27(1) (b), and 27(1)(c) of the Constitution of South Africa.
“I have repeatedly raised concerns about the municipality’s inability to provide basic services, including clean water, proper sanitation, and effective sewerage management, forcing communities to live in squalor and exposing them to health hazards.
“These conditions violate their constitutional rights to a safe and healthy environment and access to sufficient water and basic sanitation, as enshrined in sections 24, 27(1)(b), and 27(1)(c) of the Constitution of South Africa.
“Despite considerable financial resources and spending, the municipality has not addressed these challenges, worsening the suffering of its people,” Chabalala said.

He called for the SAHRC to investigate the municipality’s failure to deliver basic services and human rights violations.
“I, therefore, urge the commission to assess the health and environmental impacts of sewerage spillages and water contamination on residents [and] examine the mismanagement of funds, including the R636.2 million returned to Treasury and excessive overtime and contractor payments,” Chabalala said.

Chabalala also called on the commission to recommend urgent remedial actions to restore residents’ right to water, sanitation, and a safe environment and “hold accountable those responsible for financial mismanagement and service delivery failures”.
The complaint was accepted and acknowledged by SAHRC senior legal officer Khululiwe Sithole.
Emfuleni municipal manager April Ntuli said the municipality would respond to the complaint once received.
DA leader and Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen likened the MK Party’s (MKP) resistance to Zondo commission evidence leader advocate Paul Pretorius’ imminent involvement at the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) to MKP corruption-accused party leader Jacob Zuma’s failed attempts to get rid of his prosecutor in the arms deal case.
- DA leader John Steenhuisen compared the MKP's objection to advocate Paul Pretorius' imminent NPA appointment to Zuma's attempts to oust his prosecutor in the arms deal case.
- The MKP complained that Pretorius' involvement is a conflict of interest due to his Zondo commission role.
- Deputy Justice Minister Andries Nel clarified Pretorius will serve as a strategic advisor for the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption, not as a prosecutor.
During the National Assembly’s sitting on Tuesday afternoon, MKP MP Sibonelo Nomvalo delivered a members’ statement to “register our strongest possible objection to the reported imminent appointment of advocate Paul Pistorius (sic) to a senior position within the National Prosecuting Authority”.
“This is the same individual who served as an evidence leader at the Zondo commission, where he presided over volumes of hearsays (sic), speculation and untested allegations, most of which were never intended to meet prosecutorial standards.
“That process lacked cross-examination, admissibility standards, and... rebuttal. It was not justice, but it was a political theatre,” he said.
“Now, the very man who helped drive that narrative is being positioned to act as a prosecutor. This is not just inappropriate, that is a serious conflict of interest. You cannot be the evidence leader, the narrator and the prosecutor of the same claims.”
Nomvalo said the MKP wanted the immediate withdrawal of Pretorius’ appointment.
“The credibility and independence of the National Prosecuting Authority must not be sacrificed,” said Nomvalo, whose party leader appointed Menzi Simelane and Shaun Abrahams as national directors of public prosecutions in decisions that would both be later found unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court.
Despite the topic at hand not falling within his portfolio, Steenhuisen used the opportunity afforded to the executive to respond to members’ statements to address Nomvalo’s statement.
Steenhuisen said there was a very good reason why the “party of state capture” would not want to see someone like Pretorius “getting into a position where, finally, we can begin to put the perpetrators who have cost our country billions and billions of rands in lost opportunities”.
He said it was “not without irony” that the MKP would “cast aspersions” on Pretorius, whom he described as “somebody who himself was banned for seven years by the apartheid government and who was active in NUSAS (National Union of South African Students) and the Legal Resource Centre during the height of apartheid and oppression, standing on the right side, standing up for people against human rights abuses”.
He said many MKP members would be on the wrong end of a “good firm hand at the NPA to secure prosecutions and hold them finally accountable”.
Steenhuisen likened the party’s opposition to Pretorius working at the NPA to Zuma’s various legal maneuverings to remove advocate Billy Downer as the prosecutor in the arms deal case.
“Very unsuccessfully, I might add, as his latest bloody nose in court demonstrated,” said Steenhuisen.
An MKP MP raised a point of order and said: “MKP is not a party of corruption!”
Speaker Thoko Didiza didn’t entertain it and Steenhuisen continued:
Not only are they a party of corruption, they are a party of state capture.
“And many of the state capturers sit in their benches. And that is why many of them, including their leader, are absolutely terrified at the prospects of Mr Pretorius finally ensuring that they end up where they belong: behind bars.”
An MKP MP interjected: “He’s talking nonsense.”
MKP chief whip Mzwanele Manyi, himself implicated by the Zondo commission’s report, raised a point of order and said Steenhuisen was casting aspersions on a “very important person” to the MKP – Zuma.
“He is not supposed to be doing that,” complained Manyi.
Steenhuisen said if Manyi knew the rules, he would understand that the rules do not protect Zuma, as he is not a member of the House.
“You are talking nonsense!” interjected MKP MP Sihle Ngubane over the virtual platform.
Steenhuisen concluded, referring to Zuma:
And we know him by his real name, Accused Number One!
Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Andries Nel said the NPA intends to appoint Pretorius as a strategic advisor to the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption “based on his extensive experience on the evidence led before” the state capture commission. This is in terms of Section 38 of the NPA Act.
“He is not being appointed as a prosecutor in any of those matters and, accordingly, a conflict of interest does not arise,” said Nel.
Nel said it was understood that “beneficiaries of state capture will not give up without a fight”.
Since it joined the National Assembly, the MKP has been on a crusade against accountability, especially for state capture. Last year, Nomvalo, who is a member of the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development, advised National Director of Public Prosecutions Shamila Batohi to be less “preoccupied” with prosecuting state capture cases.
I think Shamila is dead. Let me see. Independent sources confirm that Cyril doesn't want to rock the boat but Shamila has passed away. Can we get this to go viral asb ?
