And state is well known to manage land and assets with care and ethics.

We have saying: if you give them piece of paper with two drawn sheep on it, they would lose one.
That is how competent state is.

Land is just political tool for politicians to stay relevant who otherwise would be unemployable, I read somewhere that 85% of people took money instead of land during restitution.

So the first thing that pops into my head from this, is where the fsck is his replacement? Its not like nobody knew his term was finishing.
I'm guessing members of the deployment committee aren't done trading horses yet. Guessing the state of crime and corruption in the country aren't foremost of those luminaries' minds.

Also of the 800 000 Hectares that I heard was distributed , no title deeds were actually given to recipients...
Ie it stayed as state land

The new head is likely to be Siphesihle Nkosi. At least acting one, till they decide.

I know it shouldn't, but it does still annoy me that our government couldn't plan its way out of a paperbag even if given instructions that it bloody wrote.

That's because the distributed land doesn't get given its leased out to recipients.
hmm ok
So land is expropriated..
And then rented out by gov...

I think all those that demand their own little piece of land had better go have a heart to heart discussion with the elected officials they voted for

So what is the point of it?!
Title deeds should be given so people can decided what to do with it.
Depends what sort of land distribution is happening, the government is always handing out title deeds.

But when the government leases land to you for farming purposes why should the give you a title deed?

Yeah farms are leased out i assume to prevent people selling them. On the other hand recipients complain that they can't raise capital when the land belongs to the state.
