Then I don't get what the issue is with Jan and his company winning one of the bids.
For now, or you're just choosing to be blind due to your double standards.

But like I said, let's wait this out, there is no way this contract sticks and is executed.

What's the problem with this?

If we replace Jan Oberholzer with Anoj Singh and Mulilo with ANN7 (assuming ANN7 was into renewable energy and not media), you'd not be asking that silly question, you'd instead be shouting from the top of the hills, 'corruption! corruption! state capture! state capture!'

As I said to @TheChamp, let's let this court process play out since it's not clear how very wrong it is for someone who played a role in the death of Eskom to get lucrative contracts at a company that takes the market share left behind by Eskom's death.

Lucrative contracts are only awarded to connected cadres. This has always been the case. People only figuring this out now?

It's a bad example though, the difference is that Anoj Singh is facing corruption charges in court and has had his membership revoked by SAICA, can you say the same about Oberholzer?

Well, Zuma's shenanigans only came out after he was toppled at the Zondo Commission.

We'll hear of all this and more after Ramaphosa. 🙂

Time to measure CoCT response to restore power in my area.
Area without power as substation was vandalized:
View attachment 1824635

Power went off at 14:10.

CoCT vehicle already on site
Power returned at 18:54.

According to CoCT, there was considerable damage done to the substation. The parts of the area were returned an hour prior to us as they repaired parts of the substation.

In total, we sat without power for 4 hours and 44 minutes. The city responded all most immediately and started work right away.

And to think, there are areas in this country that go for weeks without power due to similar problems.

No there was none.
I just have a question.

Now naturally, the Apartheid regime wasn't exactly a non-racial democracy (putting it lightly), but whites could and did vote (despite NP authoritarian tactics and gerrymandering) for representatives of multiple parties.

What do we call that then? Racial democracy? Electable autocracy but with a racial group?

No idea what it's called. Ethnocracy perhaps?

I would say we are, but we are nonetheless divided still with a lot of issues to solve.
The answer to the question is multifaceted. I think the rainbow in general is superficial. To see this, all it takes is for a politician to stand on the podium for few minutes and utter certain key words. Politicians know this thus, use it to good effect.
