I think it's white South Africans opposed to transformation that will happen whether they like it or not as president Ramaphosa has said who have a problem with the reality of South Africa and their role in it, well the role their parents, grandparents and great grandparents played.

How many times must they be humbled together with their blatant lies? I would have thought that Trump having to confess that he was misled about a "white genocide in South Africa" was going to be embarrassing enough. 🤣

That's like saying Germans suffered during Nazi Germany or were going to suffer if they associated with Jews. Most of the Germans and Afrikanners were too busy enjoying the good life their governments provided them at the cost of the blood and lives of the Jews and black majority respectively.

I see you have now tempered your racism by including the word 'most' Afrikaners.

And that came after you dropped from 'white people' to 'Afrikaners'.

I don't think most people benefit from a stifled market. Including Afrikaners, under Apartheid.

Statists who derive a living via political privilege benefit.... but even then it is very short-term stuff, and it's limited to finance, which they are terrible at holding on to it anyway(that's why they gravitate to the ranks of the state in the first place, after all). So it's all very temporal. I don't see any real lasting benefit.

The ANC is CR is a special case, which is more typical of authoritarian rule. For CR to have been this influencial for this long to be given a pass on the level of crime in SA.... that's some truly blinkered view you have.

So, no, even they lose, in the end, by sacrificing all the riches that come from exposing yourself to open competition, in an economy where all are equal before the law despite economic differences.

Nobody really benefits from a hampered market.

There probably were.

These laws are passed as an anti-open competition device.

Take Minimum Wage law.

MW law exists to prevent the relatively low-skilled from being hired by the Statist's - and their cronies -competition. Hired at market value - typically lower than MW - where the employer can't afford higher wages but can afford on the job training and prospects of career progression(along with higher salaries in accordance with business expansion/growth in productivity).
 
Statists always intervene for the purpose of slowing down/hampering the upward economic mobility of their peers in the relatively-private sector. And by 'private' I'm not talking about govt contractors.

I'm talking about those who don't seek shelter from open competition via state tenders/contracts.

But that is what it's about, and it's not unique to SA. It's a failing formula that has been on its totalitarian trajectory in every part of the world for at least since the 1860s in the West.

Freedom of Association was dealt a severe blow in the form of the outcome of the so-called 'civil' war between the two American unions.

You don't think ... if more jobs were created , then tranformation would not even be required because everyone who wants to work will have a job ?

ANC hasn't created jobs ... there are less jobs now than 20 years ago so they want to sell you transformation as a "fix" for their crap.
