My point was that a lot of livelihoods will suffer if the DA listens to some of their supporters and left the GNU, there must be a couple of DA comrades children and family members who are now meaningfully employed since the DA joined the GNU.

Hasty decisions that cost people jobs in this economy will not be good.

Oh I don't disagree on that front... and Hasty decisions to teach the couchstuffer lessons are also poor form.

He's good at self-sabotage anyway *cough*NHI-and-loss-of-voter-support*cough*

They could possibly hold that view, but it would be misguided given the shenanigans involved to get the tender, and staff the seta boards.
Zuma's daughter was employed similarly and there was never any evidence that she was improperly hired. She seemed to be qualified. But you can imagine that appearance of shenanigans ought to be avoided. In private industry hirings like that would be avoided as even appearances can be bad. Well, some companies anyway. Others do hire bosses' kids etc.

Fortunately there's something called a secret ballot, although yes I do agree it probably won't make a difference as ANC MPs are sheep and there is no independent thought amongst them.
You talk a lot of kak, the ANC Mp's or voters aren't sheep, sheep don't eat ****ing KFC.

They graze. On grass.

Which is something you should try and touch once in a while.

Jissis. I hate misrepresenting a voting demographic.

From a lowly public liaison officer to the powerful position of chief of staff within two months at the age of 25, she now earns almost a million rand a year.

Yeah zero evidence of being improperly hired there sure.

So for clarity, I agree that the appearance is not great, but so long as all normal processes etc were followed, then its largely ok outside of the appearances.

The SETA boards, and even the lotto tender have huge whiffs of feeding trough all over them though.

what whiff is there in the lotto tender? the only thing i've seen are reports of close relations to Mashatile. Point here is that we must use the same ruler to measure the ANC as we do the DA. A lot of DA supporters on this forum only see out of one eye without a hint of irony and defend the DA unreasonably. You seem like a reasonable fellow but this is blind spot for you as well. I think the ANC are corrupt AF but we mustn't be hypocrites.

I read that. All it does is report that the various players and decision makers have close relationships. Which doesn't seem to be illegal. To hark back on the Zuma daughter one, she was qualified on paper but no one but a moron would argue that she would have got the job if she wasn't Zuma's spawn. We ask the same of the DA woman employing a relative of his comrade's in their office. Those jobs always go to friends and cronies.

So having a company registered less than 2 years ago by the DPs sister in law and husband, being part of a consortium the wins the Lotto doesn't have any whiff to you?

It has the same as someone employing the family of fellow comrade. I've already said it is probably gang recognizing gang in that tender. But on the surface all is above board. There is no corruption you can point out.

Looks our John may have been telling half the story as long as the villain wins :D. And there's precedent. Apparently.

Both sides are telling half the story if you ask me.

Should be easy enough for Whitfield to prove he did submit a request for approval, then it paints Squirrel into a corner since it was his departments lack of response that caused this issue, not Whitfields lack of request.

Yes there is, Paul is corrupt AF, he lives far far far beyond his means, we all know it, and his families involvement makes this tender corrupt AF as well.

I'll happily retract that assertion should someone be able to show what Bellamont Gaming actually brings to the table, other than political connections.
