Ramaidiot should have taken that idiot that said businesses should rather operate in India and elsewhere. Dunning Kruger applies to the most of SA.
 
I don't even know why this meeting is taking place because whatever is discussed and/or agreed, if Trump doesn't boot him out, can only be ratified via ANC channels.
 
According to a News24 report, it was Rupert who facilitated the meeting amid escalating tensions between the US and South Africa, which ramped up when 49 Afrikaners were given refugee status by Trump.

“Ernie Els was actually the person who, over the past month, talked Trump into agreeing to the meeting,” said Rupert.

Both Els and Rupert are currently in Washington and have been closely involved in the process of getting Ramaphosa and Trump around a table.

Sign of great leadership from Trump to let Rupert & Ernie think that this was their achievement. A true leader doesn't take credit.

Els and Rupert made the meeting possible so they're there as you might expect. Trump, Rubio, Musk et al have taken a hostile stance toward SA so, the softening by people he vibes with is understandable. John is perhaps a cynical rep to say the government isn't all black and anti-white. You have to speak the local language when you deal with people like Trump and his goons.

The Afrikaners, or to be more accurate, the Afriforum leaning type had their little thing going with Trump, in their minds all Afrikaners were supposed to unite behind it, it's a horror of horrors not only to see their campaign not getting support but even prominent Afrikaners being on the side of Ramaphosa.

The Musk BEE workaround will probably need parliament, anything else is well within his powers, no ANC required.

Really? Gwede has already stated that any mineral deal will need to be ratified here...

Ramaphosa is powerless within his own party. Everybody knows that. He's on a knife edge balancing factions.
