Sounds like BS. The DA won't be doing themselves any favours if they don't back their guy.So if Johnny is to be believed, Whitfield didn't get permission to travel abroad, even though he officially requested it 10 days before apparently and that is the reason for his axing.
I'm intrigued that a Deputy Minister has to get the Presidents permission to travel abroad... seems a bit heavy handed if they aren't travelling as the Deputy Minister.
As well as targetting civilians for murderDidn't the ANC do that in the 1980's?

If Ramaphosa had any decency he would have at least reached out to the DA before doing it. And he still hasn't acted on his own people with far worse transgressions...
So let's say he did consult with them. Instead of asking for 24 hours, they should have asked why his dismissal was more urgent that Nkabane, who had been caught lying under oath...So I didn't really watch the speech, just read the highlights...
Seems as if he did, and they asked for 24 hours to do something about it, or talk or whatever and then 3 hours later the letter was issued.
Something seems oddly fishy about this really, and it doesn't put any additional gold stars in Squirrels empty achievements chart.

Don't blow your load to the news too soon, sisterman. The GNU with the DA in it might be finally coming to an end![]()
