Polls are unlikely to be accurate this far from elections, the idea of regulating polls is pure retardation though.

Its still a snapshot for a moment in time, the problem is people change their political views like underpants but when it comes closer to voting time they often default to their usual party.

According to you, is it possible that the respondents could just be trolling when they are interviewed or you genuinely believe at one point they really wanted to vote for the DA and then they change their mind?

Yes they can but a good poll can and should pick that up.

Okay, assuming this SRF is a good poll, do you believe that if we woke up and held elections tomorrow, the DA would get very close to what they are being polled at?

And if that is yes, do you believe the campaigning period is what kills the DA? As in their electoral machinery cannot withstand the pressure during this period? I am asking this because I have always had a theory that the DA performs better in by elections because of the fact that there isn't the amount of campaigning as there is on a regular election.

No, because like i said, people shift their views depending how close we are to elections.

When you say performs better do you mean against the ANC? I think the DA does better than the ANC when turnout is low no?
