I mean, sure, I consider the SAPO unsalvageable, but the DA has to try at least.

Since GLM will never allow SAPO to be fully privatised, lest we hear another round of "nywe nywe Apartheid" if DA were to try.

As if they think it’s going to make any difference to the fact that USA takes over the presidency from Sunday, and that the next G20 will be in Miami, and that most of this corrupt government wont be able to get visas to attend.

Firstly, I think you are deranged if you believe this. They most certainly do mean it literally. It was meant literally when it was sang during apartheid as a struggle song, and it’s meant literally now. Whether the person singing it actually plans to action it, is up for debate, but not the meaning or intent.

With regards to context and not meaning things literally, you do realise Penny Sparrow also didn’t literally think the people she was referring to as monkeys where literally monkeys, it was nuanced, said within a context of uncivilised behaviour, and most definately not meant literally. So why the double standard?

Exactly. No amount of theatrics from Cyril and co has any impact on the realities. The next meeting takes place in the USA, they will take over the presidency from Sunday, with or without a ceremony. Nothing changes, and Cyril the daft puppet is far too inept to realise just how badly he is being played in this 4D geopolitical chess game.

Ramaphosa lied to Trump and to the rest of the world by trying to cover up a crime, the same crime sung about in packed stadiums. He literally said: "There are no farm murders in South Africa. No farmers are being murdered." That was in 2018.

A major crime in this country is being covered up, ignored and brushed aside, and the thing you have an issue with is the word white. You don't have an issue with all that other stuff, just that Trump said "white people". That's your major issue. Why does it offend you so much when someone says white? Maybe that words means something else you to, like maybe it is swearing your mother or ancestors or something? I'm just trying to understand.

I notice you're harping on about what I dont have an issue with while ignoring Trump's lying but condemning what you say are Ramaphosas lies. Why are you a hypocrite? But you're a fanatic and debating fanatics is a pointless exercise. Good day, sir.

I beg to differ. The bigger picture going on here is that South Africa and indeed the rest of the non western world have come to realise in no uncertain terms that are and always will be regarded/treated as 2nd class by the likes of Trump.

They know that their futures depend on corporation with each other, rather than bowing down to western masters.

Increasingly, nobody is going to GAF what America wants or says. Btw, you might have come across frequent use of the term racist bullies......true or not Trump certainly hasn't done anything that shows otherwise , especially when it comes to Africa

So don't keep getting surprised or shocked by SA government's defiance. Treat people with disrespect and contempt then expect similar!!

Lol. Do you have ANY understanding of geopolitics? The US, for now, is the world's sole superpower and the world's largest economy. It has a lot of influence on world affairs, unlike 99% of countries. Certainly amongst Western countries, it is the leader with no obvious competitor.

Members of the group Operation Dudula clashed with police on Tuesday after defying authorized protest routes and attempting to block a key access road used by world leaders attending the G20 summit, authorities said.

The incident led to the arrest of two men and the hospitalization of one police officer.

In a statement, South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe confirmed that the protest by Operation Dudula “turned unruly” when the group forcefully marched towards the summit venue at Nasrec. She stated that the group attempted to blockade the crucial Bara–Nasrec access road.
