If anyone has foreign pensions , beware

I actually stopped using RA/Pension and Provident a while back .
Instead just started investing directly so I have more control of my funds as well as staying more liquid

The article actually targets something I was given a presentation on a while back when I was exploring investment options

In a report released on Monday, the SIU said it has identified three main syndicates:


  • Syndicate X, which remains unnamed as investigations continue, with procurement worth R596 million under review.
  • The Maumela Syndicate – headed by Hangwani Morgan Maumela (the nephew of President Cyril Ramaphosa through a previous marriage). The SIU is reviewing 1 728 procurement bundles valued at R816.5 million linked to this syndicate. Three of the companies awarded contracts under the Maumela Syndicate have ties to Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala, who was arrested in May 2025 and charged with the attempted murder of his former partner, actress Tebogo Thobejane. He also faces charges of conspiracy and money laundering.
  • The Mazibuko Syndicate – linked to Rudolph Mazibuko, which secured tenders worth R283 million from Tembisa Hospital.

Hardly a connection.
All these comrades know each other and inter-marry each other. The only connection would be that the ANC as a party seem to be benefiting from these looting associations by accepting money from known criminals.

Weird, you say hardly a connection yet go on to explain a connection.

I dont know about you but my family members dont keep getting caught up in corruption scandals like couch stuffer and his looting movement.

The only thing the ANC won't steal is faeces, so the **** in your toilet is safe. Everything else is fair game. There is no scientific, theoretical or mathematical number in existence to actually quantify the limit of the ANC's stealing capabilities. We just don't have the math right now.

It's probably on a par with a super massive black hole.
