Why didnt americans just use south african or american labour, why go through all the trouble of using a few kenyans?

The Kenyans were trained for the job and already doing the work back home, it was quicker to move part of the operation than start from scratch locally. That was the explanation when this stuff started.

I am not saying News24 is wrong or that AfriForum is right BUT I do recall that the News Onbudsman ruled a few times recently that News24 was bending the truth a bit when reporting about the so called Right Wingers and their agenda.

The US should use locals or fly them to Kenya or US for processing.
The Kenyans would also not have qualified for work visas, which require a job offer from a South African employer, not a foreign entity. In addition, it could hardly have been claimed that the Kenyans were needed on account of possessing scarce skills that South Africans did not, since the work they were carrying out was “fairly low-grade clerical work”, to quote a government official.

News24 aren't really showering themselves in glory in terms of being even passably "unbiased" at the moment.

**EDIT** but also, given the vagueness of the claim from Afriforum in terms of a specific person or outlet.. I'd say the voluminous piece of Pieter may be an admission of guilt.

Why didnt americans just use south african or american labour, why go through all the trouble of using a few kenyans?
Organizational Reasons
The U.S. government contracted Resettlement Support Center (RSC) Africa, a Kenya-based organization operated by the U.S. nonprofit Church World Service (CWS), to handle the processing of these applications. RSC Africa, headquartered in Nairobi, specializes in refugee resettlement support across sub-Saharan Africa and employs Kenyan staff with expertise in refugee case processing.

Operational Choices
To conduct in-person interviews and processing in South Africa (e.g., in Johannesburg and Pretoria facilities), Kenyan staff from RSC Africa were deployed. Reports suggest this was partly to avoid potential bias or animosity from local South African staff toward the applicants, given the politically sensitive nature of the claims (which the South African government strongly rejects as false). The work involved was described as routine clerical and interview tasks.

Im sure they were voting for FF already.
Sure some of them were, but the issue for them is simple, they know the Freedom Front is too irrelevant to make a difference so some of them often vote for the DA for the safety of a big party that is not the ANC.

The right wing often comes out as you seen on this forum and elsewhere, because at the end of the day you are who you are and pretending is hard.

In the UK:
I have a bridge to sell you ...

In France:
I have a tower to sell you ...

In South Africa:
I have a New24 subscription to sell you ....

Please make this make sense?

In addition, though this has not been officially confirmed, a government official told Daily Maverick that it is believed that Kenyans were thought more suitable to carry out this particular task because South Africans might harbour animosity towards the applicants — who are being granted “refugee” status premised on a false claim of “white genocide” in SA.
and in the same article, the part you quoted:

One implies decision making that might end up being biased, the other claiming mindless work?

2nd hand cold slap chips again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality’s legal action to have private firefighting services operating in the Metro declared illegal has failed. The Pretoria High Court today dismissed the Metro’s case with costs. AfriForum’s legal team assisted the Sinoville Firefighting Association (SFA) in this case.

I am not sure why you are quoting me. Second, your confusion confuses me. The passages you quote speak for themselves, what is your trouble, Koning Witou?

Hearing reports from Knysna about severe water shortages during prime holiday season --- can't wait for the coalition of doom (ANC-EFF-PA) to be voted out next year! Unfortunately, DA voters got complacent in 2021....that won't happen next year.
