Their balance sheet is on their website. Don't be a lazy local, go read it. I'm from Zim and read it.

Any comment about this then:

Eskom’s latest financial results show a complete turnaround in performance, from a loss before tax of R25.5 billion in 2023/2024 to a profit before tax of R23.9 billion in 2024/2025.

“The bailouts received from the National Treasury have amounted now to a couple of hundred billion,” he said, “that has freed up some cash and enabled Eskom to do maintenance.”

According to a Parliamentary appropriations meeting, by 2025/26, Eskom had received R496 billion in bailouts since 2008/2009.

Now subtract the profits from the bailouts and tell me whether a private company would have survived without taxpayers' money?

Reminds me of the champaign and whisky the comrades opened when JP Smith’s offices were raided. That did not end well.

Guess you can’t blame these guys for grabbing onto any straw they possibly can. It’s really tough out there for the ANC
They just seem to stick both feet in their mouth and then find a way to stick another two in at the same time...

Its a special skill to be as incompetent as the GLM
