One year? Meh. Still doesn't solve the problem.

Also, they only support the idea... there is no concrete roadmap/timeline for that support to turn into a tangible thing yet and we all know that Donnie and his merry cohorts change their mind faster than JuJu can flip flop on a topic.

From S47 in the Constitution:
(1e) - anyone who, after this section took effect, is convicted of an offence andsentenced to more than 12 months imprisonment without the option of afine, either in the Republic, or outside the Republic if the conduct constitutingthe offence would have been an offence in the Republic, but no one may beregarded as having been sentenced until an appeal against the conviction orsentence has been determined, or until the time for an appeal has expired. Adisqualification under this paragraph ends five years after the sentence hasbeen completed.
(2) A person who is not eligible to be a member of the National Assembly in terms ofsubsection (1)(a) or (b) may be a candidate for the Assembly, subject to any limits orconditions established by national legislation.
(3) A person loses membership of the National Assembly if that person—
(3a) - ceases to be eligible; or
(3b) - is absent from the Assembly without permission in circumstances for whichthe rules and orders of the Assembly prescribe loss of membership; or
(3c) - ceases to be a member of the party that nominated that person as a memberof the Assembly.
Does this mean CIC will no longer be an MP?

Only if the sentence is longer than 12 months. But he will appeal this for days so we won't get clarity until after the next national elections at least.

You really should be worrying more about your mafia GLM and their chances than the evil Aunty Helen.

She lives rent free boss, and its not good for you.
The GLM is going to contest that by election, we call on Zille to show she's not afraid of Dada by competing.

It took a Judge educated in western culture to deliver this monumental judgement. Take a look, Africa. First such sentence in Africa's history.

Are you not ashamed entertained yet ?

At the risk of people saying my studio imploded: Do you have the results? Did the DA gain much or did MK pull the ANC below the DA's previous vote share?

Went from 28% to around 35%

Anc collapsed from 48% to 34%,
