Mr Facts Unlimited creating facts our of thin air.

And I thought you don't discuss politics, were you just so touched you had to make an exception or have you had a change of heart?

I'm not discussing politics. I'm pointing out the lies you tell on this forum. I posted a reference, so where did I pull facts out of thin air?

You lied by omitting to state that the ANCYL were responsible for the picture you posted while trying to blame the circumstances on another party.

Who is this Mr Facts Unlimited you keep referring to?

“our organisation is infiltrated by criminal elements and it extends to cartels”.

Fikile said that, not IOL.

Who said this?

R1 Trillion = R1 000 000 000 000 - yet the people are still hungry.
It'll be there turn to eat.. At some point.

That's exactly what I am doing, since Zille is the first 2026 mayoral candidate to lie on a public platform, I am tackling her lies first, as other candidates come up with their lies, we will move on to that.
Your negative campaigning won't work. Are you trying to tell the people of Joburg that water is actually flowing from the taps and everyone is wrong? None of my Soweto friends care what Africa Check says, except that Joburg has collapsed and the fearless Gogo Zille is coming to save everyone from the hated ANC.

If you don't field a candidate of hope who admits to the failures of the past, you are on track to being absolutely decimated

Can you stop with your IOL rubbish and comment on something worthwhile?
Your beloved leaders said it lol....
Iol just reporting on it...
I consider highlighting anc malfeasance worthwhile as much as you seem fascinated by avoiding any such topic

It's wonderful. You can get a haircut, have your clothes tailored, get drugs, and get a blow-job, all from the same person. And then go on a xenophobic riot instead of paying them.
The real question is can one hop on a ReaVaya bus at Alex then hop off at The Grove, Yeoville, The 'Brow and the CBD to xenophobe the fsk out of all those forrin vendors?

The most disturbing anc quotes. Proves they do not have the countries best interest at heart

“I did not join the struggle to be poor.”

No doubt everyone remembers the late Blackman Ngoro, media advisor to Cape Town mayor Nomaindia Mfeketo, whom in July 2005 described coloured as “…beggars, homeless and drunk on cheap wine”, and wrote how “vastly superior Africans are” before concluding that “coloureds must undergo ideological transformation if their race is to prosper and not die a drunken death”.

Can't see why I would want to be in any of those areas

The Sandton Station construction started way back in January, so I wouldn't say there is a sudden focus on Sandton.

No idea on the Louis Botha and Hillbrow stretch.
Hectually...phase 1c (of which Sandton is the end point) kicked off back at the beginning of 2014 and was supposed to be done by 2017. A good couple of years have passed and some beellionz spent, but the route is still stalled.
Doesn't really make sense to have a station in Sandton all zjuszched up when the middle part of the route is a mess.
So ja... probably a sudden vanity effort just before G20 rather than doing something for "the people" Rea Vaya is really supposed to service

100%, but Champy was bragging about "service touching the people" because work was being done on a station in Sandton. Meanwhile all the stations where this route is supposed to service have been standing neglected and vandalised for years...not to mention how the Louis Botha arterial route has been buggered up by the unfinished construction.
[Edit... anyways I don't see that changing any time soon - that is a very lucrative taxi route and Joburg City doesn't have the balls to take them on... that is until the gogo takes over at least;) ]

It comes as no surprise that South African municipal performance is abysmal overall, but can it get any worse?

Yes, it can – and according to the latest Ratings Afrika Municipal Financial Sustainability Index (MFSI), it has.

The results of the latest MFSI once again confirm the very weak financial sustainability of South African municipalities under the leadership of the current elected councillors and their appointed executive management teams,” says governance rating agency Ratings Afrika.

“The exception is the majority of the Western Cape municipalities and Midvaal in Gauteng. Ratings Afrika has been warning of this disastrous trend since 2011.”

Although not mentioned in the report, the Western Cape is predominantly run by the Democratic Alliance, as is Midvaal in Gauteng.

The DA’s political brand has benefitted from reports by Ratings Afrika and the Auditor-General SA showing clear daylight between it and other parties at local government level, and is no doubt a factor prompting former Cape Town mayor Helen Zille to throw her hat into the ring for mayorship of Joburg in 2026.
Champy campaigning against the DA is in effect a campaign against competence.

Okay, I'll bite. List her lies so that we can discuss.

No one can beat your leader Zille when it comes to that.

Champo, you're gonna need to cope harder...

th Africa 2 Western Cape municipalities and Midvaal are the only ones in any kind of shape

Cape Town is the only metro still regarded as financially sustainable in 2024, with a score of 70, outperforming the rest of the metros by a large margin.
