SA Politics Thread Part 12

I wonder what attracted so many parties to this particular ward? Not really a marginal ward - far away from hitting rural EC numbers, but ANC still well ahead of the pack. The ANC will likely be the biggest beneficiary of split opposition. The ANC could win with as little as 30% of the vote.
Technically most of those parties will be eating from the ANC's vote, how much do you see the DA's vote improving to with the Zille factor?

This is patronage and corruption, they'd do that with or without bee

Without BEE, there would have to be some other method to force companies like Starlink to give up part ownership. As it stands, skin color is the path of least resistance to taking what you have not worked for: Resist and you are a racist/anti-transformation/right winger etc etc etc.

BEE is legalized extortion parading around as moral virtue and victimhood.

I wonder what happened to that forgettable Tania Campbell character?
Probably still arround although I havent heard her name in a while

Ekhuruleni really deteriorated fast when that AIC experiment by the ANC/EFF replaced her
And then the ANC after

DA would do well to remember the chaos created by EFF and other smaller splinter groups in their flip flopping for money

I don't see the DA increasing their vote, I think it will go down slightly as the PA will likely eat more into the DA coloured portion of the vote (although the ward is still ~75% black). I will see if I get good vibes from the DA social media to see if they are positive or negative. They were quite positive about Mamelodi, which is why I thought double figures were achievable for them.
