I think the largest portion of "lost votes" for the ANC was more to do with people just not voting at all.
If I compare 2 last local elections total number of votes in Emfuleni went from 195k down to 150k. ANC 108k to 60k ... DA 48k to 40k ...and EFF pretty stable at 24k to 23k.
FF+ were the only party to go up in anything approaching significant numbers at 4k to 10k.
Yeah. A lot of people still do not understand and appreciate the power of their vote. If the ANC got punished properly for corruption and incompetence they'd have shaped up long ago.

The people there did leave the ANC in large numbers and will hopefully bury them (preferably in sewerage) next year. There just doesn't seem to be any one party getting the votes. The ANC may still remain the largest able to form another coalition with the EFF and other such parties.
No no, but whatabout Khayelitsha.

Those suckers for punishment must live in their filth if they're going to vote for ANC, ANC left (EFF) and ANC right (MK)...

I wonder what the story is about Matlala sponsoring Mchunu's son? Paid for studies, or what? I am curious.
All I can see is that so far nothing has been pinned on Mchunu, so unless some other evidence comes to the fore, he will be walking from this.

The police committee that he appeared before were exceptionally incompetent in not pressing him for a definite answer on Brown Mogotsi, he does this thing of being asked a question, totally ignoring it and answering the question that was never asked, they asked him about Brown and he answered about some other person he hasn't met and the MPs never pressed him on it.

To their credit, this committee seems to be very thorough and wide awake to his tricks.
