This article will I'm sure judging by the comments on Daily Maverick and on here will get a lot of push back and the usual snark but for South Africans like myself who want to be positive this is like manna from heaven. Eskom is improving, Transnet, Prasa is all showing signs of recovery and turnaround. This is factual if you look at their latest reports in terms of rail, port efficiency and daily train trips.

And for the usual naysayers he is not saying everything is perfect just that there is some signs that certain sectors might be turning around.

Unfortunately, much of this “progress” is obscured. For millions of people, perhaps most of our people, they see no change at all.

So the issue with that article is that its somehow attributed to the ANC.

Its not, its because they have NO other choice anymore they've fscked it up so much.

What the people see is that 300 000 jobs were lost. Inflation outstripped income. Most of anc enriching themselves

That is the feeling I had reading it. It's now or never for the ANC.

No, its pretty much never for the ANC.. they had their now or never moment a while ago and have been bumbling along fscking things up even more since then... Now its got to the point that they have no option but to sign their own death warrant.

It is going to take trillions of dollars to fix 30 years of active destruction by the ANC and probably take decades.
No way in my lifetime can this be made right

Money is gone. Economy has been decimated.
Putting a bit of lipstick on is a laugh
Load shedding fix LOL. Only reason we don't have ls anymore is due to the shutdown of big industries
