They do, but now and gain you would have issues with those, breakdowns that just happens to be very conveniently aligned with the time when you need them most.

In that case the hospital will have to hire the same mobile generator at great cost.
What does the hospital do in the meantime before the truck gets there?

Every donation is welcome but adding R5 for KFC hope isn't solving world hunger.
In this case world hunger is stopped by not having load shedding, which is the first step government has taken, I would get your point about this being pointless if we still had loadshedding and we are relying on these 5 trucks.

They can't be in financial distress if Fix Fokol is flying around the world on private jets...

That's probably one of the reasons why they are in financial distress, or the Iranians pickup fokols tab.

The same thing that happens when you are waiting for a mobile generator from an external service provider, a lot of panic, moving critical patients around and hoping for the best.
Don't you think a mobile generator will get there quicker?

You mean an external one? It all depends on how the government plan their things, rural areas are not exactly known for having fast things since every thing comes from the nearest town that's 50kms away.

But my reasoning is simple, both will take time to get there, one would come up with heavily inflated hiring rates and the other will already be the property of government.

but isn't all this unnecessary anyway because generators get tested all the time so these things never happen anyway.

These trucks will never get used and will just rust away.

I don't know what kind of naive you have to be to think that there is a way you can test a generator to ensure it never fails, a car that goes to service all the time still breaks down.
