I'm not good at law. The right to remain silent has to be read when you are arrested. If not done, it's a false arrest, and the cops can be charged with kidnapping and sued for millions.

Maybe you should read Section 2 of the South African Constitution, The Bill of Rights, Para 35:

Arrested, detained and accused persons

35. (1) Everyone who is arrested for allegedly committing an offence has the right—

(a) to remain silent;

(b) to be informed promptly—
(i) of the right to remain silent; and
(ii) of the consequences of not remaining silent;

(c) not to be compelled to make any confession or admission that could be used in evidence against that person;

Yes there's no requirement about specific lines that need to be read, like the ones you're referencing from movies.

"Shut the fsck up and get into the back of this van, or I'm going to bliksem you" meets all those requirements...

That was a huge tender for something that will be used a few times a year by very few people. It won't be long till weeds will be in the grass with pieces of the stadium carried away as building material or sold for scrap.

This stadium cost R15 million:

What are the turnstile gates for? The fences will be gone within a year anyway. All useless things built for tender money.

The police are obligated to inform the accused of this right. It wasn't me that referred to movies in Yanksville, you did.

Ask any cop. They have to specifically warn the person, inform the person of their rights and the consequences of not exercising their rights. Otherwise, lawyers ensure the case is thrown out of court.
