The protest was actually multifaceted. I support some of their grievances. DHET isn't doing enough to address capacity issues in the country. I feel quoras were necessary in the beginning, to address issues that were caused by past imbalances. However, they did little to increase capacity in these critical fields.

It says in the post that "I support some of their grievances". DHET isn't doing enough to increase capacity. Quotas were supposed to be temporary. Permanent solution is capacity.

South Africa needs a workforce of all colours. We need more universities and vocational training centres. We need more subsistence farmers. We need experienced farmers.

The problem is that the maintenance budget was looted in Johannesburg for the past 30 years. Now they need permanent water tankers because the infrastructure is stuffed. Cape Town may use temporary water tankers for 72 hours in a specific area, not permanently.

Had your employer given those bursaries to white males, they would have been in trouble due to it being the law. White females are less affected by the racist laws.

The reason those right wingers had to build their own university is simply because they cannot coexist with other people and they believe in self exclusion since they can no longer exclude others like they did during apartheid.

Otherwise plenty of Afrikaners are studying and graduating from our public universities all the time.
