Who here is looking for a South African wow server to play on :D ? :)


Well i play on Blade-ZA its a great server no lag most bugs are fixed patch 2.3.0 allways online and always Updated?! Every New player gets 2000 g if they want and a Flying broom!

You will find that advertising, and playing on illegal 3rd party servers are frowned upon by the players who browse these boards.
 
I personaly have no probelms with these local servers.

If one can't afford to pay for the real thing it's nice. I however can afford the realy thing and like that better ;)

Nope would be real.

Plenty of these servers doing rounds. Use it don't use it makes no difference to anyone. It's personla choice tbh. I pay and play cos it's where all my friends are, Server is full always and that is the way to play wow ;)
 
Pirate movies,music,programs...rip em burn em crack em patch em. but i would rather pay to play on an official server thanks.
 
The question is

I am on the official server but my latency just kill the game even though I have a 4mbps unshaped account. Are these servers real or just ppl putting up their own?

People putting up their own. Its illegal to do though, and even though there may be no lag with 10 people playing on a 4Mb line as soon as u get more than that it jumps up. Plus the admin could get tired of the game and then you have to start all over :p

If you want a single player version of wow, I can send you some links to create your own server, if you really want you can have 0ms pings on your home network and only you and your buddies play on it :p
Using a priv server for testing myself as u can get any gear you want without doing anything :p
Boss fights on p servers are all bugged though, and all of them only melee...

Would u say its wise to go for this server advertised here or is it better to stay on the official server?
 
Private servers are like bicycles with training wheels.

You get to ride around and test the waters, but for the real deal you gotta remove them training wheels and ride with the big boys.

....go official, it's the right thing to do ;)

I can afford to stay official but wouldnt your latency be way better?

Official is the best imho. Even with the lag problems...
But if you want to test it Coppy your WOW instalation folder and change the realm set to the one given above. (Dont use your original copy)
I immagine if you have bad latency to EU (worst than the 500-800) the rest of us have you will have bad latency to this server aswell.

Your support from the official servers are just 100 times better, so I would stay official.
 
In the end you have to decide what is best for you. Note raiding on priv servers are non existant, and not even close to the experience on the official servers.
The idea of a game like this is the population in the game. The fun of helping others and even ganking some other faction. Its a game of social interaction and the best place to find this is on the official servers.

Join a South Afircan guild if need be, almost everyone understand your latency problems then. Learn ways to play around it, not sure what your latency is but anything below 900ms you can still play with. And 500-600ms you can clear any instance or do any raid in my opinion.

Good luck though on your choice :D

Latency is a biatch only if your playing in a group where people have sub 40 ms pings. If you join a SA guild all has more or less the same latency and the game is played as if you have 40 ms latency. But Lag spikes is a nasty mother sometimes ;)
 
Latency

Then I dont feel so bad my latency is around 550-750 sometimes dropping to 450 for a short while and then shooting to 850 or 4500 like this weekend that was a bad 1.
