So was bit bored so made a script/website to have my own dashboard for cameras around South African roads. Pulling all data sources to local database for all the different cameras :P

Will add updates like location/map popup etc soon enough but its a start lol.

Here till I decide to buy a domain.

http://traffic.procrast.tv/

lemme know what you think for a feasibility start.

(its still just pulling data for WC and KZN but its all automatic now)

I'll shout if I ever hit a Nkandla feed or something... haha

There's buggerall at Nkandla. Not even streeet view. I suspect half of the R210m they spent on upgrades, was to get power in from East London :D

And just a word of warning, that website (and thus its contents) belongs to SCAMRAL.

It's going to be hard for you to specify locations without you finding it on their site and hardcoding it. I'm assuming they have a db on their site mathicng the images to the locations.

Awesome though :)

Yeah, they all have locations set in, so he needs to just match the deviceID with the location.

Everything pulls live so once I setup link will be seamless, their site structure absolutely sucks

Haha yeah unfortunately, how I found it. They might get a shock when a small site looks cooler than their control room for live traffic updates haha

Gotta love where our e-tolls go, freeways never been clearer

Yup, cool.
Yeah your site is literally barebones still and it's already better than their website.
The refresh hurts though. My bandwidth meter jumps to 1MB/s every minute when the cameras refresh.

lol, yea set to refresh every min, will change to 10 min.

Would it be possible to change it so that when you click on an image you get a live stream of that individual camera?

Pheew, you guys in Gauteng have serious traffic. Makes me thankful living in the country when you might have to wait 15 seconds for a car to pass

Very good website, excellent job!
