The person who works at wanderers and responsible for giving out a whistle to every spectator, every game. I hope you are hit by a truck tomorrow
Its not wanderers. Its the super Kings franchise. They give the whistles out whether its in India, US or South Africa.

The Afrikaans commentators had a huge discussion about him and Colin Ingram.

Why are they playing , they keeping some youngsters out who can do with the experience and exposure
Because Imran is still quality. Ingram very debatable selection and defenitely shouldn't be batting ahead of brevis.

Yeah I get that argument, but he's still bowling well. And the franchises pay for performance, they have no interest in developing youngsters for the Proteas.

Just wondering how he keeps going. I only just hit 40 2 years ago and every small thing causes an aches and pain. He's been in his 40s for what feels like forever and still playing at a top level...

well depends how good the 18 year old is.

But expecting jsk to play 18 year olds mean you don't know the super kings philosophy. Their franchise are big onto experience first. If you want to watch 18 year olds its better to following the royals. They have a philosophy of backing youth.

yeah the Super kings have alwasy been dad's Army.

in the IPL they had Dhoni, Faf and Tahir after all 3 had retired from international cricket. and now that Dhoni is even more retired is just Faf and Immi left.

but I do not mind it if the old gaurd keep the yuth out with performance rather than their "name" then its fine.
if they stop performing and keep place in the side then it is different.

its like in F1, Hamilton and Alonso are still putting up results, no need for them to retire, and Youth does not equate performance, case and point Sargant and Stroll. and neither of those are rookies that should be given a bit of leeway.

Just for clarity - I don't think Faf ever retired. He was "dropped" from the team. It wasn't his choice. If I understand correctly, he's still available to play white ball for the Proteas, they just don't want him.

He retired from test cricket..He wanted to continue as white ball captain. But Boucher & Smith wanted qdk as captain of all forms...

I believe he was more than willing to play under QdK
He was but Boucher didn't want him in the squad. Per Faf he never gave him reasons.
By the time Walter took over it was always going to be very difficult to bring Faf back at his age.

Faf was in great form.
but I think the selectors had an eye on the world cup and wanted to test out a few options for that, and seeing as we made it to the final for the first time I dont mind that.

I would take Faf in a T20 world cup any day, same with AB. and seeing as Faf and AB are about the same age, there is no reason to discuss Faf and not consider AB as well.

I was simply saying that Faf didn't retire from white ball cricket. It wasn't his decision to stop playing for SA.

There is the one is actually retired from cricket and has had mayor eye surgery. The other still plays top level cricket.
