I bet if he sold for R2m, he'd be doing a lot better. The weight of expectation must be immense? But yes, if the PC were hoping for a return on investment, they'd be feeling a little aggrieved at the minute.
 
Brevis will just end up another Markram. Very talented player who could've been one of the best but never made the step up.

If the SA20 gets expanded, how many teams need to get added and where will they be based? The obvious locations would be Kimberley and Bloemfontein. Is there any other locations anyone can think of similar to Paarl? Just outside a big city with a good stadium and a nice setting?
 
Too early to write him off, Brevis. And not a bad comparison to make, Markram maybe hasn't fulfilled his potential (our expectations) but he hasn't had a bad career to date...
 
Markram is a good player. But that is all he will be remembered for. A good player with a few worldy innings. He is not close to someone like Gibbs imo. As a test opener he is not close to Smith, Gibbs or Kirsten. As a ODI player he is miles behind openers like Amla and Gibbs. If Brevis doesn't reach the heights of AB I will be very disappointed because I think he is that talented. He needs to improve and stop thinking about his "brand".

I was at the stadium yesterday. Pretty unpleasant. 38 degrees and with the fires in Franschoek, lots of smoke and ash drifting about.

When I got to the stadium I could see the Du Toits Kloof mountains by the Huguenot tunnel. By the time I left the smoke was so bad you wouldn't even know there was a mountain there.

Bloem and potch for me.
Others likely to be in the running are Kimberley, Benoni and East London. Pieter Maritzburg, George , White river and Polokwane also have grounds were provincial teams play but stadiums would take lots of work.

They likely expand to 8 teams.

No he will be remembered as the captain who won us the first world cup at any level and as the player who played the innings that won us our first senior world title.
He won't be remembered for consistency and has underperformed given his talent but will definitely be remembered as more then just a good player.

Decent recovery from Sunrisers, Stubs finally showing some form. Maphaka will probably come good but with his economy in T20 is 10 an over so no idea how he is hoing to the World Cpp over Baartman.
 
Durban desperately need to and want to win this one, I don't know if EC is going to be able to contain them.
 
Why why do we have to cut to “celebrities” during the game? Who asked for this?
 
DSG tried their best to loose it. Should have been easy after the start Aiden and Ackerman gave them. Did just enough in the end.
 
MICT bowling and fielding incredibly kuk the last 3 overs. Going to cost them the game.

Boult needs to be dropped, 5 full tosses an over is not great.
