SAA Airbus

In Africa. Hahahaha. They not competing against much. Put SAA against the proper contenders and it will come rock bottom. So please, best airline in Africa is not saying much.

I would put them leagues ahead of any American airline, and they put a lot of European airlines to shame too.

If you have travelled a lot, you will realise that even though SAA is not spectacular... It is pretty decent.

No Imranpanji, they're one of the worst, because Georgios said so. ;)

Agreed, there's a lot wrong with SAA's management but their service offering is still pretty good

When my parents fly out from the states they always use SAA, they would agree with you on better service for international flights

Irrespective of service, I have always found SAA to be quite expensive.

I have always been able to get cheaper flights on the likes of KLM, Air France, and Emirates.

So I haven't flown SAA internationally for years. Even locally I prefer Kulula.

I recently had an SA Airlink flight to Kasane, but that was only because there was nothing else. And it was very expensive.

Just don't fly with Flyafrica.com because they are cheap and flying from Lanseria for just under R2000 retour. They cancel their flights without giving reasons and there are no other flights nearby. They fly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It's more than 2 weeks now after cancelling all flights until the 19th of November and still no reversal of payments have been made yet.

You have been warned.

Plus the odd road and railway line...

Saw 10 planes sitting on the apron when I arrived earlier this month. Was shocked that there were so many.

To the OP, don't forget to keep a pen with you to fill in the immigration arrival form you should be handed on the plane on the way there. Haven't flown on Air Namibia for more than 10 years so can't comment there. Always SAA.

I have pre-filled forms in my travel bag :) just add the current date and good to go :p

I was pretty happy with SAA when I went to the UK. My screen froze though during my return flight, but the attendant went and did something, but the entire row's screens rebooted. I still thought it was intersting to see because it appeard to be some kind of Linux based system. Luckily the others did not seem to mind that their movie was interupted.

My only complaint is that when I asked for another whisky and coke the cow cut me off. It was like 00:00 in the morning .... BUT STILL! HOW VERY DARE SHE!!!

:)
