Yup, friend of mine (SAA Captain) will be going to Toulouse soon to fetch some new aeries. Won't be surprised if the first lot has arrived already.

Video on FB (Basically Bedfordview Group) of the aircraft receiving its guard of honor a few minutes ago. People are upset at the water being wasted...

There'll always be "those". That plane burnt through more litres of fuel on final approach than the number of litres of water sprayed onto the plane in those few minutes. Water evaporates and rains down on Cape Town...we'll send you some water sometime to make up for it

The newest version of the -300 was only launched in 2010.
A bit like a new VW Beetle has very little to do with the 1938 version except the name...

Mmm, I can't really agree. If I had to give it a number - the A350 is about a 15% improvement on the A330-300. I have to say A330neo is really fantastic...so much so, many airlines changed their orders from the A350 to the A330!
You get old A330s and you get new A330s - just cause it's an A330 doesn't make it old
