Let it happen. The sooner the better. 1 Thing though, they bragged about the Airbus planes they just received in the last couples of days. Which 1 is it? Some where they are feeding BS. If it was so bad saa, how come they buy planes or lease it.?
That may be the case but the employees also benefited and at least a thousand of them do not belong and should not have been there in the first place. Just like with Eskom overstaffing to offset job losses is resulting in inefficiency. Job losses resulting from workers and unions keeping the ANC in power. So I don't have any sympathy with them as they brought this situation on themselves voting Zuma into power not once but twice and then voting for the same circus to try to fix it.Quite disingenuous for her to say that the employees are the one who are going to cause SA to close when it was the government's inefficiency in appointing unqualified people to run the airline that caused this situation.
I am in no way supporting the unions but they do have a point, the problem is that no one party is going to come out of this unscathed.
I feel for the employees but not the powers that be at SAA.
You also voted for Zuma, don't ever forget that.Reading some of these comments, I suppose everyone that works at SAA is fat, lazy and incompetent...
I just so happen to work for SAA. I do not belong to a trade union. I have never and will never strike. In the last ten years I went without increase four times. I turned down two job offers because I have that **** called loyalty.
My department went from 5 people (one manager, two developers, one system analyst and one business analyst) to just me since 2015. I have been on after hours' standby 24*7 since May 2015.
But because of everyone at SAA is fat, lazy and incompetent I deserve to lose my income! Thanks for that.
On a more serious note, are you not part of the bargaining unit? You mos get the salary increment they get regardless that you are not part of the union, so why didn't you get an increase for ten years?Reading some of these comments, I suppose everyone that works at SAA is fat, lazy and incompetent...

Doesn't sound like a Zuma voter. You also voted for Zuma, don't ever forget that.
Does it even matter? He works for an SOE so it means he is fat, lazy, incompetent and unqualified, he only got the job because a cousin is a cadre and he sorted him out.Doesn't sound like a Zuma voter.
Nobody said that everyone at SAA is fat, lazy and incompetent. Just like Eskom it has become bloated. That's when a business becomes inefficient and incompetent and workers start sitting around doing nothing. Solidarity understands the direness of the situation why they aren't striking. Unfortunately a few will now also suffer because of the many.Reading some of these comments, I suppose everyone that works at SAA is fat, lazy and incompetent...

The problem is if she does sell, they'll bypass the offers from all the top world airlines and prob give it to Air China so they can get the pass-back cash around the corner...
