Solidarity never strike whether the situation is dire or not. That's why everyone was so suprised when they woke up one day and wanted to strike against Sasol.

Because they don't jump the gun before negotiations are even underway. Sasol simply said they refused to budge on any of their plans so they didn't leave them with much of a choice.

I just so happen to work for SAA. I do not belong to a trade union. I have never and will never strike. In the last ten years I went without increase four times. I turned down two job offers because I have that **** called loyalty.
My department went from 5 people (one manager, two developers, one system analyst and one business analyst) to just me since 2015. I have been on after hours' standby 24*7 since May 2015.
But because of everyone at SAA is fat, lazy and incompetent I deserve to lose my income! Thanks for that.

I'm afraid you don't get sympathy for being a loyal employee. If you feel you're getting f##ked over, then why not apply for a replacement job in the private sector - you seem to have a great list of employable skills?

Or, is it because you won't match your current package moving to the private sector. And if this IS the reason, we're right back at the beginning of why SOE's have huge debts. It's fact that public sector employees are horribly overpaid compared to like for like private sector employees. But again, I'm not accusing you of anything. But if I was in your shoes, the only reason I would have stuck it out so long was money.
 
I would welcome privatizing this company and for government to stop the bailouts to SAA. This type of pipe dream can only happen if they hit rock bottom and are forced to implement a real turnaround plan without bailouts IMO.
 
Everything these miscreants put their grubby little paws on turns into ****. FACT!

I said four times in ten years.
I was kind of recruited to SAA as a specialist, which falls under wider management. My salary increases are based on a personal performance review and the financial position of the company. If the company tells you they cannot afford to pay increases to management, you either go work somewhere else or you go without an increase.
