SAA workers struggling without salaries

Title is a bit misleading, I would think any person without income for a year would struggle.

By the way the uae has a law that states something along the lines of, any member of the royal family, including extended family and whatever, get first priority for any job they apply for. So emirates ironically does have a jobs for family members policy, I guess the key difference is they don't try unsustainably extracting as much personal wealth as possible while running the company into the ground.
But they have a small population of locals in Dubai . Also they got a strong economy to back it up

Yup, they did a great job of using that oil money to import labour and build an economy on the blood of slaves while ensuring no emigrant that vastly contributed to the building of its country can become a citizen.

It is more like allowing unions to plunder a business with socialist implementation. Mass false jobs, salary overpayment, job security no matter what, and of course the chief at the top accumulating large amounts of money illegally.

I have a friend in SA and working/worked for these wankers. Same boat. No salary for the year. His hobby has now become his job. My prediction, SAA need another R 25 Billion. Welcome to a real Socialist country. Luckily I left SA in 2003.
There are no real socialist countries on earth.

I can just see the ANC making a really crappy Donald Trump style deal that looks good on the surface and they shout about how they saved SAA and pat themselves on the back, only for the wings to come of f 5 years later and it actually cost the country 3x as much as if they had just shut them down in the first place and paid off the debt.
A Trump style deal would involve them walking away with a truckload of money leaving other people holding the bag.

The problem with airlines like ET, Emirates etc who wanted to buy in to SAA is that they will put an end to 99% of the “give a job to all my family members”, “business travel for govt” and “family tenderpreneurship”
Yes, well they can hardly do that when they have their own family and friends to give jobs to.

So basically fairly typical capitalism.

I think the sad thing is the ones that could move moved on. The rest are just clinging to the hope that they will have some kind of compensation or job at some point.

I still wonder why we have SAA open. It obvious the government does not have any money left to bail them out(What they should have done ages ago was using that money to at least bail Eskom out, much more people rely on electricity than flying).

If they are waiting for some one to come in and swoop up 49% while paying all the bills and have no real say in a company then I think we might wait a while, unless the Chinese already have a very good deal where they will give the ANC 51% of 1% they will get and the Chinese takes 99.49%

But you, the unions, are part of the communist tripartheid anc alliance of revolutionary dogs, along with the yapping eff marxist puppies, who have systematically destroyed our country, our economy and your precious SAA, SO SUCK IT UP EJITS!
