Way too little way too late.
THe SABC still continues to be a propoganda machine for the ANC.
With the Centenary Celebrations
A documentary was aired, ads slashed about on every channel, slogans promoting the ANC with the SABC.
The SABC was a puppet of the majority government we had during apartheid and now in our fragile democracy.
The SABC should be abandoned.
Free to air channels like eTV do just fine without our ( I mean your) license monies.
Rather force FTA channels to have a certain amount of hours per week worth of content which will cater for all of the languages.
Even if it forces them to have more channels, they'll just have to cross subsidise or sell more ads to cover the spectrum of channels needed.
(Like how I'm talking out of my ass? Somewhere there's a bit of sense to it)
Financial misconduct by management, along with a board of nitwits at the SABC, is just a pit for our (*cough* your money) to disappear into.
