SABC can kill TV industry

I wonder if it's time for the actors, producers, writers and directors to get off their high horses and start producing content on a shoestring budget where the only measure of success is not who you take to lunch, but the quality of the content itself.

The days of SABC sponsored expensive buffet lunches and glamour are over.
 
No matter what they do or produce, I am still not going to watch!

I'd rather spend a quiet, peaceful evening doing ... Far Cry 2! :D

But yeah, I have not watched much TV since November last year. And when I do its Rugby and Cricket on supersport. The SABC can go hang!

Actually the sabc did not kill anything, loads of good SA stuff on sabc.

This would really be a shame though. Multichoice could buy all the shows and have a SA soapie channel for like 100 bucks a month hahah would clean up :D

Most already do. The typical South African budget is shoestring.

Who would subscribe? Who wants to watch another 'relevant', pore victim, strugglelista show? They wouldn't 'clean up'. They wouldn't even buy the stuff. No business case.

I don't watch sabc i have dstv and downloads but many many people in this country watch the soapies so it will be a great shame if this happened.

Now go continue pirating your 100's of gb of stuff so you don't have to watch sabc and dstv :D

Like I said.... SABC killed off the local TV industry here a looooong time ago. There is nothing to watch there but absolute mindless crap. You have to be a complete and utter drooling moron to be entertained by anything on the SABC. Whatever they have from overseas that might be good is hopelessly out of date. So yes, I will go back to my downloads thanks. :D
 
Yup well sadly then gary a large portion of the country are drooling idiots although i suspect it is more a case of some people do not have 1k for uncapped so they cannot download loads of stuff.

So your opinion is slightly warped as not everyone can blow large money on internet for downloads.

So these so called morons as you call them have nothing else but SABC.
