SABC must broadcast violent protests: ICASA

Just like it was ordered to fire Hlaudi? Right...

Did ICASA actually make a decision? :wtf:

So the SABC will respond by saying that they will study the ruling before deciding on a course of action... While they are doing this they will continue to do as they please.

Appeal!

Chairman of the board just said they are going to consult their lawyers and if they say so then they're going to the high court. Surprise!

I don't get it, why is everyone happy about this?
If you show a poor & starving populace how easy it is for a group of rioters to rob shopping malls, isn't there a possibility that it could lead to more rioting and pillaging?

You don't tell your kids how to open your gun safe, do you? That is censored for their own safety.
Same thing here. Sometimes things need to be censored from the masses in order to maintain stability.

You all seem somewhat conditioned to think that censorship = evil.
Censorship can be used for both good and bad.

Can any of you tell me what exactly you are trying to achieve by airing a how-to-pillage guide to millions of starving people on national TV?
Please enlighten me what good is going to come from that. :erm:

I have better idea, allow them to censor the news.
But after he show ends, put a big red disclaimer, telling the public what has been censored.

Hlaudi Motsoeneng is above ICASA, highly doubt ICASA has the authority to overrule the ANC War Machine. Nothing will come of this.
