The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has announced that its streaming platform, SABC Plus, has reached two million registered users.

SABC Plus first launched in November 2022. However, a revamp in July 2024 meant the streaming platform had to start again from scratch, meaning it has reached the milestone in less than two years.

I know, I'm at least 20 of them, because I just create a new account every time I log in.

Now if they needed you to enter a valid TV licence number in order to log in, they'd have less than 1000.

SABC News is also quite good for local if you can't get eNews Africa.

Half the viewers are probably AI bots, because scraping this is easier than doing YT or other streamers, even if the content is poor it still is worth scraping to make AI drek.
