SABC spreading race hate?

The first 3 weeks were South African made movies about Mandela.

And we should feel guilty about this, why? I don't recall personally imprisoning Mandela or voting for it. Should I feel guilty every time a white guy runs a red robot?

Problem with human nature is that "we" tend to grade people according to race, religion, creed etc.

From this forum you can pick it up as follows.
All non whites drive like taxi drivers.
All Indian drive with their seats pushed back.
All Muslims are terrorists.
All whites are responsible for apartheid.

As stupid as all that sounds, its how many people think, even today.

back on the subject - i will not deny for one second SABC news is propoganda though.

I just do not believe a government that has no insight for simple things (aids, electricity, 2010, gautrain, etc) that they will cook up some plan to induce race hate. as far as i am concerned the mentality of the average white and black person is enough for this and our history is a great catalyst for this. The non integration of race in our country is also a prime candidate.

lets face it. prejudice among white people runs supreme and i am sure among black folk too and thats only to be believed if we generalize for the odd 50 million south africans living here.

Im not sure why they are doing it, right now I am watching someone shout, "Kill the n igger!" on SABC 3 and its a Klan scene in the movie Alex Haley's Queen.

doubt they scheming anything grand, but rather some dude who does the television scheduling and purchasing of media has a chip on his/her shoulder and coupled with this month being something sort of significant gets to punt this type of genre.

does it induce hatred toward whites? i can agree to an extent it probably does coupled with our countries past which both don't help build a bridge to the future of racial integration.

have they shown dances with wolves yet? Sorry i don't watch much television.

It seems the only way to get any reaction on Ads and movies is to get a feeling of hatred and disappointment awakened by the audience-maybe they will remember the product.
Are companies scared that products are being boycott which is not promoted by using the black on blond theme or discrediting white males and black ladies .
All the themelines is a black man jumping onto a blond lady-what about the balance of black ladies and white men.
All the movies are the same -the promote hatred by choosing old ancient topics based on one way racism and the rest is blood and intestines from Kung fu movies.
This way they guarantee that we have no growth and social peace in this country-and that our children is brainwashed into immoral and violent thoughts.
All the beautifull black and white culture in this country is lost by owerwhelming and discrediting the mothers of all these cultures.

Simple, they are the movie of choice of the guys who make those decisions.
 
This reminds me of an article I read in The Star about 2 weeks ago.

The reporter, from his name I gathered that he must be black, stated that white people are also victims of Apartheid. Then he goes on to say that white people were getting used to being in power, so that when it was taken away from them, they suffered.

It was something along those lines, but just about as poorly formulated as you can imagine, whilst there were clear indications of sarcastic undertones.

I have for the past couple of years been very surprised with the measure of audacity in the media regarding racial issues.

BTW, I have been born purple, so I have nothing against white or black or yellow or red people. I love you all.
 
Does anyone think that there is a connection with showing these films now , just before the general elections next yr and in doing so hope that it brings back memories of our past which would strongly favour a certain party *cough*anc*cough* , I mean most poor ppl cant afford dstv so they have no choice but to watch those films.

Of course they are racist and bias towards the ANC(who are racist). The SABC is controlled by the ANC --- they love Julius! He is forever being displayed ranting death threats(often race related).

And no, its no coincidence that movies are timed to elections. EVERY single year during the run up to the elections, two months before the elections apartheid movies are run over and over again. Documentary after documentary showing the cruelties of apartheid just to remind people what's going to happen if they vote for a party other than the ANC :rolleyes:

Its sick and perpetuates the idea that white people are still like that in this current democracy 15 yrs later :confused:
 
Just the other night I saw a movie of two white guys raping a black girl. Not sure which channel though. . .
