The government should not be involved in the day-to-day running, owning, or even management of a mass media organisation, where their political agenda will influence the information disseminated from said media organisation.
That said, the above will never happen, as that is how governments get their political message across and ensure that the general population keeps voting for them and therefore, keeps them in power.

How are they supposed to give good reports for Zuma when he has nothing good around him? Singing and dancing to umshini is only suitable for SABC 1's "music" shows..
