Overnight was able to download with no problems at all. This morning things seem to have died and have tried with both my ISP's accounts, and nothing happening.

Anyone else having problems?

lol sabnzbd can't be down, it is an application, and even the website hosting the application is not down.

Maybe your news server is the problem.

If you're using a paid for server perhaps you need to top up your account.

Thanks for quick reply - apologies for my not too clued up understanding of how these things work :erm:

My astraweb account has lots of capacity at this stage; but I could not download via WA or IS servers either (when I was connected with my WA account). All very annoying

I have seen sometimes you just need to restart SABnzbd if that happens with the IS news server, then it starts to work again.

Thanks Tinuva - have restarted my computer. Am thinking of reinstalling SABnzbd?

Maybe you should try http://www.altbinz.net/ or http://www.binreader.com/

binreader is a very small usenet client but works nice. alt.binz works best for me maybe cause I'm used to it but just try it and if it works then its sabnzbd

Installed binreader and downloading at full speed - so it seems like it is SABnzbd. Thanks Cavedog for the help.

I really like SABnzbd and am used to it, so hopefully it will soon be up and running

If you are on the latest version, I don't think you need to re-install. A restart usually is all that is needed.

Tried reinstall; restart; reboot and nothing. As I said above am hoping it will soon be up and running. Thanks for the suggestions

Then you're going to have to do whatever it takes on your side.

what happens when you TEST the connection in your server settings?

what error does it give you?

I am not a computer minded person, so this does not help. I have tried a variety of things, but what is odd is that it was working early morning, and I did not change anything. Now I can get 2 KBs for a few seconds when I am lucky :(

Nothing - "connection successful."

I do appreciate the various help and suggestions.

OK so I deleted all files still in the queue; checked my settings and restarted SABnzdb and then loaded some new files and it is all systems go.

I do not really know what I might have done to sort things out, but am up and running again.

Thanks again to all who gave me help and input.

Just a sidenote....This is an application installed on your machine...
So there is no "When will it be up again". If it's broken....then it's only broken for you :)

It's about the best news grabber out there....so glad you sorted it :)

Thanks Drukkie - I am a bit slow when it comes to understanding the finer points of software and programmes :)

I must say I really do enjoy SABnzbd so am very pleased it is working for me again (even if I am not really sure what I did to get it going again!!)
