Sad bit of news, Fosscds.co.za has come to an end.

I don't know how many people used them, but I thought it was a great service, and it's a pity that they are no more.

with the advent of large local bundles and unlimited, this was only a matter of time.

I remember ordering my first linux distribution using one of these services several years back,
definitely had its use. But as milomak says, it was only a matter of time :/

It was bound to happen, with uncapped and cheap local it was inevitable.

What we really need is another project that focusses on the youth at school. If we can get a sponsor and print a couple of thousand CD's and hand it out at schools here and there we will see a increase in the uptake of Linux.
Have a presentation on why we believe Linux is the future, why it is good to get to grips with it, etc. and hand out CD's afterwards, I think that will go a very long way in promoting Linux in general.
