Safely hand over phone for repairs

My Samsung Galaxy S21 Android phone needs to go in for repairs.
How do I disable security to prevent people accessing what they shouldn't, yet have access to the phone to fix it?

wipe it fully .full factory resett .backup whatsapp first and make a copy of your contacts .then everything else onto pc .if everything is stored on sd card its quick and easy (usually)

This is the way.

I took my phone to the iStore to get the screen replaced the other day and the guy wanted me to remove the security from it so they could access something once the screen was replaced. The dude helping me thought this was somehow perfectly fine and apparently other people allow them to do this :eek:

Safe to say I formatted it there before handing it off.
 
I say wipe it twice LOL, just to be sure :)

Lock your apps you don't want them to access. Some phones have this built in where you can lock apps, hide apps, or check the play store for a good app that can lock your apps

Bank
Photos and videos
Messaging
Etc
 
Why would someone need access to the phone to fix it?

They have diagnostics tools for repairs.

Leave it as is..which is presumably already encrypted and secured.
