Anyone with these guys? Their bandwidth prices are ridiculously low and they don't seem to have the draconian terms and conditions that Cybersmart seems to have. Only thing is that you have to send them a WRITTEN cancellation via snail mail. Wtf is up with that?

Their access only charge is R49 for a gig, R79 for two gigs, and R139 for three gigs, R189 for four gigs etc etc. Anyone got any info on these guys?

i am with sainet and have to admit so far no problems and am quite happy with the service

you can cancel via e-mail ... i mailed them and they gave confirmation that it is possible

Also a happy Sainet customer. I also think they allow email cancellations.

Hi,

Been with them for a few months now - they have upgraded their stats facility therefore there is nothing else I need from them.

I can't comment on support as I have never used it (apart from getting the dial-up account details that are also included for free with the account).

If you're moderately up to grips with ADSL and don't need the glitter - I think it's a no-brainer.

I have experienced 2 downtimes with them so far - one at about 4 AM when I couldn't have access and the other at around 3 AM. Both where fine after a few hours and acceptable based on this country's telecom infrastructure.

Strange. I've never had any downtime with my Sainet SAIX account. The only downtime I've had was with my Non-Sainet IS Local only account that went offline at 16:15 09/10/2007 and is Still MIA. :(

Sainet comes highly recommended. (Don't let Cybersmart's T&C intimidate you zolly, I ignored it - Nothing happened :D)

Yeah during the day it's perfect. I doubt many people would be up at those times to notice it anyway ;)

For all I know it could have been my exchange.

Give me some timeframes and Dates here so that I can have a quick glance at my "logs". Maybe I too was disconnected. Would probably not even notice it if it was in the early mornings, because my PC is set to redial like crazy should any connection fail.

Hi,

I don't keep track of my DSL connection stats unfortunately :( It's no biggie anyway - with any ISP you will get some sort of downtime at some stage.

What I can say is that longest downtime (the second one) was < 2 (maximum 3) hours and the first one was only half an hour.
