Is it just me or is SAIX almost dead suddenly? My 4 MB line's running at dialup speeds.

I change from a 3Gig IS account to a 5Gig SAIX account and I've had nothing but trouble. The connection just freezes (PPP led on my router just glows but no actvity) and when it does work it's like treacle. I've noticed that at times I don't have a WAN IP address and on the rare occasion that I do have a connection it seems to work lightning fast for a few hours and then just freezes again......I think I'll pay a bit more and go back to an IS account.....

Thanks - I'll try anything to resolve this nonsense....
Try a prepaid account from WebAfrica, that way if it doesn't work you haven't lost much.

i think it all depends on wat u do on your saix account, it seems that if ur a newcomer then ur connection isnt shaped too heavily, but then if you begin too download alot your connection slows down considerably..? if you dont download for a few days your speed goes up again, this is just wat iv observed on mine as well as a few friends connections..

Remember to try using a proxy to browse if things slow down...

For me SAIX is slow during the day and full speed (39kB/s on 384kb/s) after hours.
Update:
Got capped on international and running on local only IP address now. Was on full speed for a while this morning, now back to slow.

mine is also horrible in the day jumping up and down but way better at night
