Your forgot the "we will never have any redundancy bit" :p

i thought it was kinda slow earlier today(even on ISDN), but it seems to be a bit better now(well downloads are, web sites take forever to load)...

It has just gone down
Rosebank area
(we need to fix Rosebank-Bellville, it seems)
00.04
tuesday night
was talking on yahoo when it collapsed - cannot get any international site up at the moment

Same here, West Rand. This is virually happening everynight now.

HORSESH!T, how the hell can a LOCAL link effect INTERNATIONAL traffic. Even the Saix notice board is filled with rubbish.

I notice that the most often used fix is to reboot the router. Now that's weird. Surely if you routers are so unreliable, you would have had their ceo here by now to fix it?

The other favourite is to blame the software, and to reset the unit. Surely that is not getting to the cause.;)

My SAIX account is dead while my IS account is HORRIBLY slow on international - a 2400 baud modem would be better. Time to pull out the trusty carrier-turtle again.

OK, just to let you know...
I'm not sure if this is coincidence, if the link is up again or not, but I did the router reset thing and it worked.

I can now surf as before, read my hotmail, my yahoo is working, all international sites are working at normal speed.

First reset the router, then unplug it, reboot the computer, plug router back in and if the link is still flashing, go to connections, disable and enable. Reconnect.

So happy now... thanks for whoever suggested the reset thing.

Btw, my router so hot I can fry an egg on it. Is it normal?
