Has anyone got charged for this yet? I can't seem to find the allocated local bandwidth anywhere? what is it?
 
10GB local per 1GB international. So TelkomInternet 1GB = 10GB local, TI 3GB = 30GB.

I have TI 3GB and have done 50GB without being charged. Ther've been a few forumites who've been charged for excessive usage.

Have any of these forumites ever produced a scan if these bills?
 
I'm at 30gig local usage (DO3) yet I still have about 10 gigs of downloads remaining. Bit dubious to keep on downloading incase I am overcharged as R25.55 x 10 = R255.50 :/

Well nothing ventured nothing gained.
 
well , did telkom inform me personally about this change? no they did not. If they want to see a angry me when the bill comes in the mail then they should charge me.

You should be fine. I've done between 30GB and 50GB quite often and nothing has happened.
 
Ya man I've got windows 7 in altbinz and it's on 22% after 3 days!

...well I suppose I only have a 386kbps line.
 
Good grief! What news server you connecting to! I'm on news.saix/news2.saix and even tried mweb and only managed 4gb in 2 weeks with altbinz :(
 
I like to inform your'll that telkom giving 50% extra local too.

Do1 - 1.5gigs Int and 15gig local
Do2 - 3gigs int and 30gig local
Do3 - 4.5gig int and 45gig local

I tried it on my office pc and home pc for 2 months

here the result
office I use do2
home I use do1

month 1
Office 27gigs no charge
Home 17.5gig charge R76.65

month 2
office 31gig charge R25.55
Home 14gig no charge
 
I saw this earlier.
Moving onto Do 3 Tmz. I have the line (4Mb) but changing ISP's on the 1st.
I currently use Newshost but holy Moses its slow... Everything times out haha. (GrabIt)

I never Pull that much though anyways, I doubt ill use even 5 gigs of local. Unless I get onto that BitFarm and start Uploading...

This is interesting though :)
