??? ummm no its not. alt.binz is simple an application. is utorrent an international-based torrent thingy?
alt.binz is simply the application which allows you to download off of the news server. news.saix.net is the LOCAL server which you connect to get your 'data' from.
I do about 90gigs a month on it, i wouldn't call is slow, only unreliable.

Yup. Since changing from Grabit to Alt.Binz I get a lot more downloaded. I used to sit with Grabit open for a few hours before I'd get a weak connection. With Alt.Binz, I click connect and I have a connection within seconds.

Yeah i have no idea why this happens! for some people alt.binz doesnt work and grabit does. for me i've never got grabit to work but alt.binz gets a connection almost instantly

nope, on any telkom account.
The account for R79 at telkomsa.net offer 1.5gigs and 15gigs local.. Didn't try lately so not 100% sure.
